Kim Ravaillion began her journey to becoming one of the best athletes in the country with the Western Sydney Academy of Sport (WSAS). From 2007 to 2010, Kim was a scholarship recipient, training as an Academy Athlete starting at just 14 years old. This period served as the foundational grassroots for her remarkable 11-year netball career.

Under the guidance of Academy coaches, Kim showcased exceptional fitness, work ethic, and determination. “Kim was a standout young Western Sydney athlete in her age group,” Coach Heather shared.

Following her time at WSAS, Kim signed as a teenager and quickly made an impact, debuting for the Australian Diamonds at 19 years old and earning 60 caps for her country, including World Cup and Commonwealth Games gold medals.

Kim’s success continued, notably with the Firebirds, where she achieved back-to-back premierships in 2015 and 2016 and earned accolades like the Laura Geitz Medal and ANZ Championship Series Finals MVP in 2016. She later captained the Firebirds in 2022 and played a significant role in Collingwood Magpies’ inaugural Suncorp Super Netball campaign.

Kim Ravaillion’s journey from WSAS to the pinnacle of netball reflects her hard work, dedication, and passion. The Academy congratulates Kim and wishes her continued success in her future endeavours.
