HOCKEY NOMINATIONS

The Academy’s Hockey Program offers high-quality development opportunities for talented young athletes in the Western Sydney region. In partnership with Hockey NSW and NSWIS, the program focuses on enhancing technical skills, providing education, and fostering personal growth, all to prepare athletes for the next level of elite sports representation.

The program includes specific skill components, testing, and reporting procedures as set by Hockey NSW. Along with competition opportunities, these elements help athletes advance along the cycling development pathway.

The program comprises technical development sessions, athlete education, and sports science and fitness components for Academy scholarship holders. Its goal is to prepare athletes for higher levels of individual performance and achievement, with a focus on selection into State and NSWIS squads.
